Charlotte Mason&#8217;s philosophy.\u00a0 Be sure to check back as more are added!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Vocabulary<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In the early years, vocabulary is developed through pictures and objects around the student\u2019s environment. \u00a0Below are resources you could use for vocabulary. \u00a0The key here is to remember that the students are not to see the words. \u00a0In some cases, you may need to find a way to cover the words.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2MeDTUt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teach Me&#8230;Chinese and More Chinese<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2iA2us3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tuttle Chinese For Kids Flash Card Kit, Vol<\/a>. 1-like many choices out there, these are not a perfect choice because they show the words in print with the picture.\u00a0 From what I could see however, the words could easily be covered up.\u00a0 The rear side of the card includes sentences.\u00a0 It also includes an audio CD.\u00a0 Use this resource with discretion.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2i52HiK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chinese Made Easy for Kids Vol. 2 Flash Cards<\/a>-it appears these are out of print, but they do not have the print with the pictures!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2gK07SF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mandarin Picture Word Book<\/a>-this book has small print over the pictures, so one would want to cover the words initially.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Songs<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mamalisa.com\/?lang=Chinese&amp;t=el\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mama Lisa&#8217;s World <\/a>has a wealth of songs and rhymes for free, with audio!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2gDWGJK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chinese Kids Songs-Favorite Nursery Rhymes in Mandarin and English<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2hazF1z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sing with Me in Mandarin<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Mandarin For Me has a collection of songs and rhymes with audio <a href=\"http:\/\/mandarinforme.com\/chinese-songs-and-rhymes-videos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Stories<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beelinguapp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beelinguapp<\/a> is a new app that reads aloud stories in a variety of languages along with side by side text of the native and target language!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wordproject.org\/bibles\/gb\/index_en.htm#1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Bible<\/a> in Chinese with audio<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mandarinforme.com\/\">Mandarin For Me<\/a> has a number of free resources available for you!\u00a0 Stories, songs, videos, etc!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2tLWott\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Mandy Pandy Series<\/a> are a collection of board books that come with a CD for the audio!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2tKA5of\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Chinese)<\/a>\u00a0audio can be found on YouTube, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ck4ap-O-ILg\" target=\"_blank\" Lessons-Online<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">There a lot of online options for learning Chinese.\u00a0 I hesitate to include them here because many do not fit perfectly within the CM model, but we could certainly adapt <strong>some<\/strong> of them.\u00a0 Families who are not comfortable with lots of screen time could use these resources sparingly.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/skritter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skritter.com<\/a> is an onine\/app tool which aims at teaching the Chinese characters.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chineasy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chineasy.com<\/a> is a newer program developed to make Chinese easy for children.\u00a0 Adults could also learn alongside their children.\u00a0 There are some audio lessons and a podcast.\u00a0 Most intriguing to me are the &#8220;tiles,&#8221; (similar to flashcards) which can be used to play a variety of games.\u00a0 The only down side is printed words on each card.\u00a0 Alternatively, one could use the flash cards from Chinese Made Easy (referenced above) and play games with those.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.learnables.com\/languages\/chinese\/\">The Learnables<\/a>-an immersion-based program for older students that begins with listening and speaking before moving on to reading and
